1st day: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
Early morning, we start our day driving towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. Drive through the beautiful cedar forests, rocky walls, Berber villages all the way to the Merzouga Desert. Halfway, stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. We continue to Oued Ziz, through Kasbahs and palm groves to Errachidia, then in the late afternoon, Merzouga. Arrival at the camp at Erg Chebbi, after having some rest, we leave for a camel ride to admire the sunset from the top of the dunes. On the way back, a welcoming moroccan mint tea will be prepared for you. The dinner and overnight will be in the tents.
2nd day: Merzouga -Tinghir – Boumalane Dades
After witnessing the enchantment of the sunrise in the dunes, a track of about forty kilometers to reach Tinghir. Incursion in the Gorges of Todra, lunch in the afternoon, road to Boumalne, and incursion into the Dades Gorges. Descent in laces along the Dades offering panoramic views of the valley. Overnight and dinner in a Kasbah or/ Riad.
3rd day: Boulmane Dades – Agdez
Breakfast, drive via the Rose valley – Kalaat Mgouna and the authentic Kasbah of Amerdil in Skoura. You reach the city of Ouarzazate. We will stop for a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt then another photo stop near the Atlas Film studios. After that, the road continues to Agdez, Overnight and dinner in a Riad or Kasbah.
4th day: Agdez – Zagora – M’hamid – Erg Chegaga
Breakfast, departure from Agdz to Zagora oasis. It is one of the beautiful sites which is composed of more than 100 thousand palms. We head out to Tamegroute to visit the famous Koran Library and subterranean Kasbah and the manufacture of pottery. The road takes us to M’hamid the “doorway to the Sahara desert” for lunch. In the afternoon, drive off-road for two hours to reach the overnight camp at the foot of the tall dunes before sunset. Take a camel ride. Overnight in the desert camp.
