The perfect eight-day trip to explore the shimmering Marrakech and Mogador city; Essaouira. You start your journey from the vibrant heart of Marrakech Jemaa El Fna to the magnificent gardens, Yves Saint Laurent Museum, and visit many great attractions that reflect the history of Marrakech. Explore the Atlas mountains and the Berber villages such as Asni. The road takes you to Essaouira: the city of vibrant and fun atmosphere, the perfect destination for surfers, enthusiasts, and craft shoppers
Day 1: Arrival to Marrakech
Upon arrival to Marrakech airport, you will be met and transferred in a comfortable van to your Marrakech hotel, where you will check in and relax for the afternoon. Dinner will be served at the hotel.Day 2: Visit Marrakech
After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a guided tour of Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco. You will discover the magnificent Koutoubia, the Palace of the Bahia, the Medrassa Ben Yousef and many other historical sites. After lunch, you will continue with the tour to the famous Djemaa el-Fna square, one of the center attractions of Marrakech. The tour will conclude with an exploration of Majorelle gardens and the souks lined with intricately woven fabrics and many other art objects of Morocco. Dinner will be served in the hotel.Day 3: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Essaouira
After breakfast, we drive to the amazing Atlas Mountains. This trip offers a multicolored landscape. After leaving Marrakech, you will drive through the green orchards of Marrakech. You will be travelling through Berber villages and rainbow colored Mountains and valleys offering a magnificent outlook. We arrive to the village of Imlil where you will enjoy a local lunch in a Berber family house before we continue our trip towards the coastal city of Essaouira , an interesting fishing town with Portuguese ramparts and white walls surrounding the city. Check in at the hotel or Riad for the overnight with dinner.Day 4 & 5: Days at leisure at Essaouira
These two days are at leisure to relax in Essaouira You will have the opportunity to have more time in this small town to explore the Medina as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with beautiful arts and crafts to be found, including objects carved out of local Thuya wood. You will enjoy a mint tea in one of the local cafés and explore the Atlantic-facing sandy beach. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Essaouira – Marrakech
After breakfast, you will drive from the coastal town of Essaouira towards the red city of Marrakech. En route, you will enjoy the Argan trees, important to the region both economically and ecologically. You may also see local goats perched in the trees feeding on the fruit and leaves. At the women’s Co-operative of Argan Oil, there will be an opportunity to learn about the wide ranging applications of the oil from cosmetics to medicines. After several stops to take photographs, you will continue your travel to Marrakech. Free afternoon and overnight at the hotel.Day 7: Marrakech at leisure
Today will be at leisure to choose what to do. The options can be a day trip to the Atlas Mountains or relaxing and exploring the city of Marrakech more with some activities such as a cooking class or a relaxing Hammam and Spa. Overnight at the hotel.Day 8: Marrakech – Back to the Airport.
