After bidding farewell to the ocean breeze, we embark on a scenic drive inland, leaving behind the city’s bustling streets for the serene landscapes of the Souss-Massa National Park. Here, amidst argan forests and fertile valleys, we encounter the unique flora and fauna that call this region home, including the endangered Barbary macaques.

Taroudant - The Jewel of the South

Continuing our journey southward, we arrive at the ancient city of Taroudant, often referred to as the “Grandmother of Marrakech” for its striking red ramparts and labyrinthine medina. We spend the day meandering through narrow alleyways adorned with vibrant Berber textiles, pottery, and spices, savoring the sights and sounds of this bustling market town.

In the evening, we retreat to a traditional riad, where we indulge in a sumptuous feast of tagine and couscous under the starlit sky, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of Gnawa music – a true celebration of Moroccan hospitality. Agadir to Erg Chegaga.
