1st day: Marrakech – Tizi-N-Tichka – Ouarzazate – Dades.
Pick up at 08.00 am from your accommodation in
Marrakech to
Dades valley, we drive through the
Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260m) in the Mountains of the
High Atlas. From the
Tizi-N-Tichka pass to
Ouarzazate, you will enjoy the scenic road, beautiful landscapes with different colors along the way to
Ait Benhaddou. We visit the old
Kasbah of
Ait Benhaddou, after lunch we continue to Ouarzazate and visit the
Atlas Studio &
Kasbah Taourirt, in the afternoon, we drive to
Dades Valley via the
Rose Valley. Dinner and overnight in
Dades.
2nd day: Dades – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
Breakfast and departure from
Dades Valley to the
Sahara Desert of Merzouga passing by
Tinghir and
Todra Gorges, walk in the
Gorges then we continue to the desert of
Erg-Chebbi where you’ll ride the camels and spend the night in the desert camp, once you arrive at the camp you can do the sand-boarding and watch the sunset over the dunes, a Berber drum music around the bonfire awaits you after the dinner.
3rd day: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – N’koub – Draa Valley- Agdez.
We wake up early in the morning to watch the beautiful view of the sunrise. We ride camels back to Merzouga for about one hour. After breakfast we head to Agdz through Rissani, the origin of the Alaouit dynasty reigning Morocco. Then we cross a kind of desert ( a rocky desert) and the Berber villages of Alnif, through the Draa valley (the longest one in Morocco) to Agdez where the biggest palm tree in Morocco exists. There is a chance to have a one hour and half walk in the heart of the palmary seeing local farmers and see the Village of Tamnougalt. (Overnight in Agdz).
4th day: Agdz – Zagora – Tamegroute – Erg Chegaga .
After breakfast, we will leave Agdez the heart of the Draa valley to Erg Chegaga via Zagora. We continue towards the doorway to the Sahara Desert –M’hamid and visit the original town of the 16th-century dynasty Tamegroute and the old Koran library and to see the ceramics the area is famous for. We arrive at the Saharan village of M’hamid before taking the off-road track to Erg Chegaga. We will ride the camels into the desert to see the sunset on top of the dunes. We will have a traditional dinner, drink delicious mint tea, and listen to traditional Berber music while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert.
