A simple trip rather than a luxury one: the same camp stays home for the whole desert stretch, short accessible walks leave from it every day, a support 4x4 carries luggage, water and the picnic, and a desert guide explains nomad life, plants and how to read the sky. Where the yoga happens is chosen each day by weather and energy, on the sand, among the palms or around the fire.
Best from October to April: warm days and, from November on, nights on the sand cold enough for a proper layer. Day 2 and Day 7 are the long drives, most of a day in each direction; Days 3 to 6 are a few hours of easy walking with the 4x4 alongside and no fixed daily distance. It suits yoga groups travelling with their own teacher, the sessions are self-led and moved to suit the weather, with walking that works for mixed fitness levels, since the support vehicle carries anyone who wants to ride.

Noches
- One fixed base camp in Erg Chigaga for five nights
- Gentle walks with a support 4x4 always alongside
- Sand bread and Berber pizza made with the nomadic team
- Starlit campfire nights and Saharan stories
01Day 1, Arrival in Marrakech and the medina
Day 1, Arrival in Marrakech and the medina
Met at the airport and taken to a traditional riad inside the old Medina. The afternoon is a guided walk through the souks, the artisan quarters and Jemaa el-Fnaa, with time to settle in before the road south. No yoga today, the journey starts tomorrow. Dinner and the night in the riad.
02Day 2, Over the Tizi n'Tichka, through Foum Zguid and into the desert
Day 2, Over the Tizi n'Tichka, through Foum Zguid and into the desert
An early start south across the High Atlas, with photo and tea stops in the Berber villages below the pass. After lunch the country dries out towards Foum Zguid, the last village before the Sahara, where the group swaps the minibus for prepared 4x4s and crosses fossil plains and the edge of Lake Iriqui on desert tracks.
Camp by late afternoon, the first yoga session before sunset, then dinner and stories around the fire. First night in a nomadic-style tent.
03Day 3, Gentle trekking on the nomadic paths of Lake Iriqui
Day 3, Gentle trekking on the nomadic paths of Lake Iriqui
A relaxed walk at the group's own pace through sandy plains, acacia and small dunes, on the paths nomads actually use. The support 4x4 stays close all day with water, picnic, luggage and a seat for anyone who would rather ride.
Walking beside local nomads is the point of the day: their hospitality, how they read the land, how a family lives out here. Lunch in the shade of desert trees, camp by evening, yoga before sunset, music after dinner.
04Day 4, Navigation by the sky, sand bread and Berber pizza
Day 4, Navigation by the sky, sand bread and Berber pizza
The walk keeps moving towards Erg Chigaga while the guide explains how the Sahara has always been crossed, stars, wind, the silhouette of distant mountains, without roads or maps.
In the afternoon the cooking: sand bread baked under hot sand and embers, and a Madfouna, the Berber pizza, made and eaten with the nomadic team. Sunset yoga at the new camp, then fire, storytelling and silence.
05Day 5. The great dunes of Erg Chigaga
Day 5. The great dunes of Erg Chigaga
Onto the dunes themselves: the widest sea of sand in Morocco and the quietest ground on this route. The walking stays gentle, with stops to sit, meditate or do nothing much, and the 4x4 always within reach.
Yoga from one of the highest dunes as the sun goes down; after dinner the guide reads the sky and shows how nomadic families have navigated by these stars for centuries. Night in the heart of Erg Chigaga.
06Day 6, Nomadic settlements, plants and a last night in the Sahara
Day 6, Nomadic settlements, plants and a last night in the Sahara
A slow walk to small seasonal settlements where families live with their goats and camels: mint tea, questions, the crafts that keep a camp running. The guide covers edible and medicinal plants, desert wildlife, and the balance that lets life hold on here.
Free afternoon for meditation, journaling or another session among the dunes, then the farewell dinner with traditional music around the fire.
07Day 7, Back across Lake Iriqui to Marrakech
Day 7, Back across Lake Iriqui to Marrakech
Sunrise on the dunes, then the 4x4 across the dry bed of Lake Iriqui and the off-road country to Foum Zguid, where the minibus is waiting. North through the changing country with lunch and photo stops in the High Atlas, and into Marrakech by late afternoon.
Riad in the Medina, and a free evening for a last dinner or a walk through the city.
08Day 8, Departure
Day 8, Departure
A last morning in the Medina if the flight allows, a walk, coffee, shopping for whatever was forgotten, then the private transfer to Marrakech airport and the end of the journey.
